Following the conclusion of VCT Americas Stage 2 this past Sunday (31st), Riot Games held the group draw for VALORANT Champions Paris 2025, the game’s world championship. The competition, which will begin on September 12th, will feature MIBR as the sole Brazilian representative in the hunt for the title, drawn into Group B. Reigning champions, EDward Gaming, will make their debut against NRG Esports, the VCT Americas runner-up.
Champions 2025 Group Draw
Masters Toronto and VCT Pacific Stage 2 champions, Paper Rex, are in Group A, where they will face XLG Esports in their opening match. In the same group, the EMEA runner-up, GIANTX, will face Sentinels, the third-place finisher from VCT Americas Stage 2. In Group B, where MIBR is placed, the Brazilian team will debut against the VCT China Stage 2 champion, Bilibili Gaming, while Rex Regum Qeon, the stage’s runner-up, will take on the Masters Toronto runner-up, Fnatic, representing EMEA.
Considered one of the “groups of death,” in addition to the presence of EDG and NRG, Group C will also feature Team Liquid, the VCT EMEA Stage 2 champion, facing DRX, the 4th seed from the Pacific. Finally, in Group D, G2 Esports, winner of the Americas’ triple crown in 2025, will make their world championship debut against Team Heretics, the 2024 world runner-up, while Dragon Ranger Gaming and T1 face off in the group’s other match.

The World Turns its Attention to Paris
Known as the City of Light, Paris will be the capital of the VALORANT world between September 12th and October 5th. The 16 teams will be on a collision course in search of the most important and coveted title of the year, the VALORANT Champions. The competition will be played in the traditional two-phase format: groups and playoffs, with both being double-elimination.
