Aion 2 Guilds: ⚔️ Legion System Guide for Global Launch 2026 ⚡

4 min

Guilds in Aion 2 are called Legions, and they are the central social and competitive unit of the game. Whether you are running dungeons, competing in the Abyss, or preparing for future large-scale GvG content, being part of an active Legion determines your access to the best progression resources, PvP content, and end-game activities.

What Are Legions?

Legions are player-formed guilds within the same faction. Every Legion member must be on the same side: you cannot have both Elyos and Asmodian players in the same Legion. This faction lock reinforces the core faction war narrative of Aion 2 and makes Legion choice directly tied to your faction decision at character creation.

How to Create a Legion

  1. Reach the minimum level requirement for Legion creation (confirmed in KR/TW build as an early milestone)
  2. Open the Legion menu through the social interface
  3. Name your Legion and set a description
  4. Invite founding members from your faction server
  5. Set the Legion rank structure and permissions

Legion names must be unique on your server. If you are planning a guild for the global launch, selecting your Legion name before launch day is not possible, but having alternates ready ensures you secure your name in the first hours.

Guild Content in Aion 2

Dungeons and Raids: Legions coordinate 4-player and 8-player group content. Having an established Legion means consistent party availability without relying on open LFG systems.

Abyss PvP: The Abyss is the primary PvP zone and the main arena for Legion versus Legion conflict. Coordinated Legion groups significantly outperform random groups in the Abyss due to communication, role coverage, and target prioritization.

World Bosses: Large creatures that spawn in the open world require multiple players or groups to contest. Legion coordination on world boss spawn timers is one of the primary activities for organized Legions in the first weeks.

Future GvG Content: While full GvG systems like large-scale sieges are absent at launch, future updates may bring naval gameplay, such as guild-built ships for sea monster hunts, expanding cooperative options. The original Aion’s Fortress Siege content is not present at Aion 2’s global launch but has been indicated as post-launch content in NC’s roadmap.

Why Joining a Legion at Launch Matters

  1. Economy advantage: Legions coordinate crafting, gathering, and resource distribution. Members who join early benefit from shared material stockpiles and crafting chains.
  2. Abyss PvP access: Solo players in the Abyss are outmatched by organized Legion groups. Joining before Abyss content opens puts you in coordination before the first PvP season.
  3. Dungeon priority: Established Legions fill dungeon runs internally. Finding groups as a solo player in the first weeks is slower than having Legion members ready to queue.
  4. World boss competition: World boss kills in the first weeks establish economy dominance. Legions with organized spawn timers capture resources that solo players and smaller groups cannot contest.

Pro Tips: Aion 2 Legion Success

  • Recruit before launch, not after: The best Legion members are claimed in the first 48 hours. Public recruiting after launch week is slower and less selective.
  • Establish a crafting chain early: Assign professions across members to avoid redundancy. A Legion with no Alchemist runs out of consumables quickly.
  • Coordinate Abyss schedules: Peak Abyss content windows require Legion presence. Establishing raid times before launch week means your Legion competes from day one.
