Founder's Pack information confirms September 30 as the start of 5-day Early Access. October 5 is the official free-to-play global launch for everyone. If you don't plan to purchase a Founder's Pack, October 5 is your actual release date. September 30 is simply an optional head start for players who choose to buy Early Access.

The exact server opening time for North America has not been confirmed as of July 2026. Players can check the official schedule once NCSoft announces the global server opening time.
How the North America Announcement Was Made
During Summer Game Fest on June 5, 2026, NCSOFT premiered the AION 2 "Launch Reveal Trailer" on the official YouTube channel. Its description states: "Launching globally this September." That is the first time NCSOFT committed to a specific month for the Western release, narrowing the previous "second half of 2026" guidance.
Following its global release announcement in April, NC America announced that the global version of Aion 2 will be coming this September on PC through Steam and Purple. The global release will have servers for North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, supporting 10 different languages including English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, and more.
The announcement represented NC America's first specific commitment after months of "second half of 2026" guidance from investor communications and the April 2026 newsroom post.
North America Server Details
NCsoft has confirmed that Aion 2 will launch globally in September 2026. The PC MMORPG will roll out across servers in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, supporting 10 languages including English, German, French, Spanish, and Portuguese.
The North American server is a dedicated regional infrastructure, not a connection to the Korean or Taiwanese servers. NA players will have local server latency rather than routing through Asia. This is a significant difference from playing on KR/TW servers during the pre-launch period.
The global servers (NA, EU, SA, Asia) are entirely separate from the Korean and Taiwanese clusters. There is no announced plan for character transfers or progress carry-over.
If you have been playing on KR or TW servers, your progress does not transfer to the NA server. The global launch is a clean start for all players in the West.
Early Access: The September 30 Head Start
Early Access gives Founder's Pack holders a 5-day head start beginning September 30, 2026. During this window:
- Early Access Servers open exclusively for Founder's Pack holders
- Character creation and name reservation begin
- Leveling, dungeon progression, and Server Market trading are all active
- Abyss PvP is limited to Early Access Servers only during the 5-day period
- The Cross-Server Market is not yet available
During Early Access, your access is tied to the platform where you purchased the Founder's Pack: Steam purchases grant Early Access on Steam, and PURPLE purchases grant Early Access on PURPLE.
