Curse named MVP of the CBLOL 2026 grand final
Although Feisty delivered an impressive performance in Game 3 and Duduhh played a crucial role in the deciding match, the individual award went to Raí “Curse” Yamada.
The LOS jungler was named MVP of the championship series following his team’s victory over FURIA.
His recognition highlighted a championship effort that required contributions from multiple players. Throughout the five-game matchup, LOS had to respond whenever FURIA tied the series, eventually finding the performances needed to secure the title.
LOS gets revenge against FURIA after Split 1 defeat
The championship also marked a turnaround for LOS following its defeat in the first split of the season.
Earlier in 2026, FURIA had defeated LOS 3-1 in the Split 1 grand final to claim the championship. The two organizations met again in the Split 2 decider, but this time LOS came out on top.
The team’s Split 2 campaign included several important victories. LOS advanced through the upper bracket of the playoffs and defeated LOUD before reaching the championship match.
Against FURIA, the organization completed its title run with a hard-fought five-game victory. The result reversed the outcome of the previous split’s final and established LOS as the second split champion.
LOS and FURIA at Worlds 2026: when will they play?
Winning the CBLOL 2026 grand final secured LOS Brazil’s first seed at Worlds 2026. As a result, the team will advance directly to the Swiss Stage, scheduled to begin on October 23 in Allen, Texas.
FURIA, meanwhile, enters the tournament as Brazil’s second seed and must compete in the Play-In Stage. The opening phase will take place in Los Angeles, California, from October 15 to 18.
FURIA’s first match is scheduled for October 15 against MVK Esports. The team must advance through the Play-In Stage to join the squads competing in the next phase of the tournament.
The distinction between the two seeds underscores the importance of the domestic final. Although both organizations had already secured their Worlds berths, the result determined their respective starting points in the competition.
Brazil will therefore have two representatives at Worlds 2026. LOS enters the tournament with a direct Swiss Stage berth following its domestic championship victory. FURIA begins its international campaign earlier, with an opportunity to advance through the Play-In Stage and join its Brazilian rival.
