2025 has arrived, and Riot Games has announced its pick for this year’s Hall of Legends. The chosen one is the legendary Chinese AD Carry, Uzi. His induction cements his legacy in League of Legends history as a masterful marksman. The champions selected to represent him are Vayne and Kai’Sa.
Uzi: The Chinese Prodigy Immortalized
Jian “Uzi” Zi-Hao is synonymous with excellence in Chinese League of Legends. Widely regarded as one of the greatest AD Carries of all time, he becomes the second player ever inducted into the Hall of Legends. An honor created by Riot Games in 2024 to immortalize competitive legends.
Uzi burst onto the scene in 2012 at just 15 years old, playing for Royal Club. In his first Worlds appearance in 2013, he finished as runner-up—a feat he repeated the following year. Even without a world title, his refined mechanics and aggressive playstyle revolutionized the ADC role and inspired generations of players.
The peak of his career came in 2018, when he led Royal Never Give Up (RNG) through a dominant season. He won both the LPL Spring and Summer Splits, as well as the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI)—the international victory that cemented his legacy. That year, Uzi was widely regarded as the best player in the world, though RNG’s shocking quarterfinal exit at Worlds remains one of the biggest disappointments in the team’s history.
Despite never claiming a world championship, Uzi embodies the competitive spirit of the LPL. His rivalries with Faker, Deft, and Ruler defined an era, as did his resilience in the face of injuries and career breaks. He initially retired in 2020 due to health issues but made a comeback in 2022, with competitive appearances for EDG and FPX until 2023.
Now, with his induction into the Hall of Legends, Uzi is officially enshrined among the game’s all-time great. Not just for his in-game prowess, but for the lasting impact he left on the global League of Legends community. He joins Faker as the second player to receive this prestigious honor.
The Skins Chosen for the 2025 Hall of Legends
When the possibility of Uzi being inducted into the Hall of Legends was first raised, many already speculated which champion would be chosen to represent him. Unsurprisingly, Riot revealed the picks: the ADCs Vayne and Kai’Sa. Ascended Vayne will be the champion featured in the event’s Battle Pass.
