They are the most used protocols worldwide based on IPs. The biggest difference between them is the reliability guaranteed by the TCP protocol, which checks if the receiver received the packet correctly and resends the packet if it has been corrupted or lost. The UDP protocol, on the other hand, aims to speed up this process of sending data and therefore does not perform operations to verify that the packet was delivered.
