The FiRe CONTER Season 1 concluded on Sunday (1st) with a Brazilian showdown in Buenos Aires. MIBR defeated RED Canids 2-1 and claimed the first major South American Counter-Strike 2 trophy of the 2026 season.
In addition to the title, the victory awarded MIBR USD 5,000 and valuable Valve Regional Standings points. As a result, the team gains an early advantage in the race for international invitations.
FiRe CONTER Season 1 Final: Momentum Swings and Tactical Depth
The FiRe CONTER Season 1 final started in RED Canids’ favor. On Nuke, the team dictated the pace and secured the opening map with disciplined defense and controlled executes.
However, MIBR responded immediately. On Mirage, their map pick, the team displayed strong preparation. Felipe “insani” Yuji led crucial engagements and helped equalize the series.
With the score tied, Ancient became the decider. The map featured long rounds and constant adjustments. Still, MIBR adapted better over time. Their collective decision-making proved decisive in late rounds.
The 2-1 victory confirmed the championship and validated MIBR’s international roster project. The 2026 lineup includes Swedish player Linus “LNZ” Holtäng and Russian rifler Klimentii “kl1m” Krivosheev.

Before reaching the final, MIBR overcame tough opponents. The team defeated ODDIK 2-1 in a close semifinal and beat local favorites 9z Team 2-0 in the group stage.
At the same time, the FiRe CONTER Season 1 produced major disappointments. Imperial Esports exited early after losses to ODDIK and Bounty Hunters, raising concerns ahead of events like IEM Kraków.
With this victory, MIBR starts 2026 from a strong position. The FiRe CONTER Season 1 title boosts the team’s chances in the RMR race and builds momentum for the global challenges ahead.
